It's hard to believe that the Thanksgiving weekend is almost here.
We had such a busy summer!
We were pleased to follow up our Anniversary Pledge to Hinchinbrook Farm Society with a second cheque in August, bringing our total donation to $1,700.00. Our thanks go out to the realtors, mortgage brokers and clients who brought their property sales and purchases our way in the month of July, which made this donation possible.
We also had a great time at the Fresh Air Films festival on August 14, 2017. Our firm sponsored a screening of the 2016 gender-swapped reboot of Ghostbusters. We put up a canopy under the stars, and were joined by Vineeta Rajani of Halifax Henna, who provided henna tattoos to the crowd, with all proceeds going to the I.W.K. Also fundraising for the IWK were the Maritime Ghostbusters (http://maritimeghostbusters.ca), a dedicated group of volunteer fundraisers and cosplay enthusiasts who came out to entertain the crowd before the show. It was a terrific evening, and we hope to work with the festival again next summer.
We are pleased to be co-sponsoring the second evening of the Tool Shed Sessions, scheduled for October 13, 2017. This time around the performers will include the Hupman Brothers, the Lewinskis and the Catahoula Brown Band. The show will take place at the Mahone Bay Centre, and tickets are available from Townsend's Strings and Things.
There are so many creative community ventures on the go in Lunenburg County right now, it's a great time to live and work here. We hope that our friends, clients and colleagues have had a wonderful summer too, and we wish them a wonderful Thanksgiving.
